Abstract

En la encrucijada de la evolución empresarial y el progreso social se encuentra una convergencia poderosa y transformadora: la sinergia entre la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) y la Psicología Organizacional. Este prefacio introduce un tema que no solo es relevante en el panorama empresarial actual, sino que es esencial para el futuro sostenible de nuestras sociedades. Al explorar la intersección de estas dos disciplinas, nos embarcamos en un viaje hacia la comprensión de cómo las organizaciones pueden convertirse en agentes de cambio positivo, no solo dentro de sus propios límites, sino en la sociedad en su conjunto.
La Responsabilidad Social Corporativa ha evolucionado de ser una mera idea ética a una estrategia empresarial crucial que influye en las decisiones y políticas de las organizaciones en todo el mundo. En un mundo cada vez más consciente de los desafíos sociales y medioambientales, la RSC se ha convertido en un pilar para las empresas que buscan contribuir al bienestar de la sociedad, al mismo tiempo que mejoran su imagen pública y competitividad. Sin embargo, el verdadero potencial de la RSC se desbloquea cuando se combina con los principios y prácticas de la Psicología Organizacional, una disciplina dedicada a entender y mejorar la salud y el rendimiento de los empleados dentro de las organizaciones.
Este libro se adentra en cómo la integración de la RSC y la Psicología Organizacional puede conducir a una cultura organizacional más empática y consciente, que no solo fomenta un ambiente de trabajo positivo, sino que también impulsa a las empresas a desempeñar un papel más activo en la resolución de problemas sociales. Al hacerlo, las organizaciones no solo pueden mejorar su desempeño y la satisfacción de los empleados, sino también impulsar cambios sociales significativos y sostenibles.
